Problem
I’ve been using a Samsung Fast Charge wireless charger with my Samsung Galaxy S8 for a while now, and really love the convenience of it.
After using the wireless charger for several months, all of a sudden, one day it stopped working …
I put my phone down on the wireless charger and it would start charging for a few seconds and then stop with the message “paused” on the screen. This cycle would repeat endlessly and the phone would never charge.
Solution
Here is what worked for me.
Place the phone onto the wireless charger and move it up and down over the charger. Take it off the charger and repeat several times. Now check if the ‘paused’ issue has been resolved.
Here’s a video I found which explains the fix in more detail.
If this fixes the Wireless Charging Paused issue for you, let me know in the comments below. Or if you have found any other solutions that work, feel free to post them below.

People need to realize that not all wireless chargers are “fast wireless chargers”. So, if your phone is set on fast wireless charge setting for fast capable but your wireless charger is incompatible with fast wireless option, you will get paused message. In Note 10 plus, you should either get a Note 10 plus compatible fast wireless charger or go to settings and turn off fast wireless charge option.

I found that turning off fast cable charging and also turning off Always On Display on my Samsung S10 5G ensured wireless charging worked and stopped the “wireless charging paused” message from occurring.

A: I have a Samsung S10 and my husband has a S7. his 7 had no problems but mine would start to charge and then it would say charge paused. It would blink blue and then change to red. Searched the Internet and found many suggestions like restarting the phone, clearing the cache. restore the settings, enable fast charging, restore apps, and rubbing the phone over the charger to align the coils.
I found a fix it guy say you have to have enough power. I put on my samsung fast charger and it works

Weirdly changing the position of the phone by 90 degrees worked for me. I used to be able to charge the phone with the power cord at 9 o clock to the phone position. Now it pauses in that position but if I move the phone so that the power cord is at 6 o clock to the phones position then charging commences and doesn’t pause. This worked for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy S10+

Only thing that works for me is turn off the phone completely, take the phone out of the case and then try try and try again ..usually ok after about 5 to 10 lift on and off the wireless charger. Its quite nerve racking..especially when the phone has no juice as my usb port is completely knackered. So if it ever fails to wireless charge completely my phone, Note 8, might be bricked immediately. Its getting worse and i really should figure out if the problem is the charger or the phone.
